living libraries

Would love to see this in our county. And in our country. After posting this yesterday, somebody shared with me that he was in i think it was Monterey and that there’s an app where you can buy a homeless person a meal or maybe it was just any kind of support and he got to witness that happen. my wish for it to be here in this country is already fulfilled. And I don’t have evidence of this, just hearsay.
Turns out already exists in USA. Just called my local library to request it, so far no response.
May be an image of 6 people and text that says 'CHICY In Denmark, there are libraries where you can borrow a person instead of a book to listen to their life story for 30 minutes. The goal is to fight prejudice. Each person has a title- "unemployed, "refugee," "bipolar," and etc.- but listening to their story you realize how much you shouldn't 'judge a book by its cover." This innovative project is active in 85+ countries. It is called The Human Library.'
