Some ‘Notes’ From Matt Kahn’s keynote and breakout workshop the next day at Conscious Con in Cincinnati. Thank you to Margarete Brandenburg for providing them and to Matt of course!
Like Wanda, I didn’t take notes but will share what I remember/the gist of it. There was a full house at both events, and the moment Matt and Julie entered the room, even before they were introduced, they received tremendously long, heartfelt, warm standing ovations. They kept saying ‘wow, wow, wow!’ and promised they would return. At the end of the workshop the organizer said we should call the next one (next year) Conscious Kahn.
From what I heard (and am paraphrasing), the information age is coming to a close. We are flooded by information to where it’s way too much and not useful. We are instead moving into what will be known as the energy age. Where before it had been masculine (not bad, it just was) of doing and achieving and striving and heirarchy, we are moving into the feminine of Being. Many have gotten to the point of where they have an attention span of only 30 seconds and then onto the next thing. That’s not a bad thing….it’s more an indication of “let me access what’s here energetically/info-wise….ok, got it….downloaded.” and that’s all it takes. People will be and already are exchanging files all the time energetically – it will become more and more apparent and widespread – to the point when one day there may not be a need any more for languaging. The new kids coming in have this down.
Someone asked ‘how do we get ready for these new energies. . .how do we help others with them. . .how can we better access them?” Basically there’s nothing you can do to get ready – they’re already coming in, have been for awhile, and will continue to come in energetically and dimensionally. So don’t worry about it. There may be people whose “fuses” will be lit and it may appear to show up as depression, anxiety, anger, irritability, etc. In that case, be appreciative of how wonderfully they’re shifting with the energies in the way that is best for them and how masterful that is of them. For yourself, love whatever arises, and ask that it may be blessed. That then also helps the ones around you as it emanates throughout.
He also said that superstition is old paradigm. No more crystals, mandalas, etc. Not that there’s anything wrong with it, but there’s no need for it. The same for those who have been taught all sorts of spiritual methodologies/teachings/philosophies. They’ll find that as soon as they feel they’ve ‘got it’, that will then be one more thing to then wake up from out of.
Same with Law of attraction ideas. The universe doesn’t shake a finger at us and say “You thought negative thoughts, so you get negative stuff in return!” The same with positive. The universe just is. The ‘Lord’ doesn’t shower down coins and debit others’ bank accounts. It’s more a matter of vibration.
It doesn’t help to judge yourself re your thoughts, it’s a form of self-hate. We think a thought is a thought and then battle with it. Does the thought know it’s a thought? Does it know it’s in a battle with you? It’s just a phenomenon of consciousness – that’s it, that’s all. It’s just energy/vibration.
When you get to essence/emptiness there are four landmarks, or if you will – think of them as mile marker signs along the highway as in – in 4 miles is heaven, 3 miles, 2 miles, 1 mile, then heaven (not ‘up there’ but here). These mile markers can pull you off to the side for awhile, and that’s ok – they’re resistance to moving into clear space/emptiness – which is – in the long run choiceless, just as Grace has no choice – it’s all encompassing.
The four mile markers that can pull you away from clear space/emptiness are: 1) Boredom – yet one more teaching comes along, one more book/seminar/ relationship/drama/shopping/other activities – rather than allowing the boredom and not trying to fill the space. 2)Frustration – setting up parameters – ‘am I there yet? why not? this wasn’t what I thought it would be’ 3)Loneliness – no matter how many people you’re surrounded by you feel lonely or just the sense of being different and not fitting in, and 4) confusion – the mind doesn’t know what to do with Being/choicelessness/Grace without trying to assign meaning. And then, heaven.
That’s what I remember for now, the rest is in the Field for all of course!
