Kind vs. nice

Thank you thank you thank you to a beloved friend for sending this to me twice when I didn’t catch it the first time. Turns out I still have remnants of NPD, nice personality disorder. I’m noticing the twinges when it comes up. I’m noticing when formally I would choose to be nice when actually I felt irritated or annoyed. And super proud yesterday when a beloved crossed a boundary, I was simply able to assertively put my hand in the stop position and very kindly say, “Please stop talking I don’t want to hear it,” without any aggression. Haven’t finished this whole thing but already I’m in love. This is hot off the press for me, some thing that’s definitely on my radar.
