gratitude

A story of love:
Running a day of errands, lunch, coffee, we went into the city into a huge store, something this one rarely does. A subtle ungrounding was unfolding. Result? Set down prescription reading glasses in the store that were nowhere to be found. Twenty minutes of looking EVERYWHERE with no results. Two miracles. Over the years I have often misplaced or lost objects. I stirred up a lot of drama over this which my daughter was at the effect of.Yet instead of berating me, questioning me, shaming me, she simply helped me look in ever more obscure places. She even ran out to the car and continued to look, even when it seemed we had looked in every conceivable place. So much gratitude to be held in love and care with my discomfort.
Second miracle: when I ran out of places to look, I stopped and got present. I slowed down the agitation. I asked my soul where the glasses were, asked for support. You can believe this or not; the body moved to a part of the store I had just been in for a minute as my daughter showed me something. I had already looked there. I was instructed to lift a heavy box, something my daughter had shown me. I questioned, saying I already looked there. Do it, the soul replied. I lifted the box and there behind the big box they were. How they got behind the box, no clue. Just left with so much love and gratitude.
