beyond doubt

How do we move beyond the self doubt that has plagued us as a species, return to full awareness of Who we truly are? No matter what arises, we must love ourselves or love the one that is troubled, lost, afraid, depressed, anxious. Don’t expect to feel good with this practice initially, to feel love, to feel self acceptance. Initially the exact opposite may surface yet stay with it. Allow ourselves to feel whatever is arising in our bodies with compassion and acceptance. Keep our focus on faith and trust even when lost in doubt.
Be of service whether that be blessing and prayers for others, for the world or knowing and living out our greatest purpose and joy. If purpose and joy are distant mountains. let your breath be the prayer you offer the world, a moment of stillness. If judgment arises, move into self forgiveness. Find someone to love be it a child, a pet, a friend or lover. Dedicate yourself to loving this person. “The Course in Miracles” says it is through cherishing another that we can wake up to our own true nature.
When we go to bed at night we can set the intention to release our history and be reborn in the morning. Be willing to commit to the practice of cherishing ourselves, no matter how distant a goal that may now seem. Notice if another or we ourselves attempt to shame or induce guilt, feel whatever arises in the body knowing this is the way to neutrality and inner freedom.baby, hands
