It was a surreal experience. I was sitting on the deck of the hotel facilitating our wild hearts group. I could see all the people passing by on main street and watch the waves crashing into the bay. The post below is exactly what we were exploring in Wild Hearts. Ngaire had chosen the post to read at the end of group without knowing what I would be exploring. Life continues to get more mysterious and vast.
Reading from 15th September 2018:
Take a moment to realize, to ponder the magnitude of that which you seek, that of which you are a part. Step out of the little self and into the vastness of the real Self, the true Self, and abide there, just for a moment……
Yes, you felt as though you were just existing. Not existing AS, but purely and simply existing. And did you not, therefore, ‘allow your mind to be free?’
Practice this often, today and every day. Step outside your ‘self’ and you will find that you already are your ‘true Self.’ Nothing to seek, nothing to find, nothing to do, but exist as that which you are, and all the excessive thinking, the frantic doing, the endless searching and the need to be other than that which you already, will literally just fall away, and a deep peace and a great knowing will come upon you.
Rest here. Rest here often and you will find that all you need to accomplish will be taken care of with ease and grace, as if some unseen hand were working with you, which indeed, it is. But this hand is your true Self, which already knows where you should go, and with whom you should speak, and what you should do. And as you do this, you will look back over your day and realize that that which had not quite worked out the way you had hoped, or maybe even appeared to be a failure in the moment, did, indeed, work out perfectly, for God is ever at the helm when we let go the reins.
And now I will ask, as I have asked so many times…..let go. You will not fall. You will not fail, and you do not need to control.
God is ever at the helm and His Hand is ever at work. And God is never late.
