Rumi and letting go

Tiina is today’s earth angel. Yesterday a Rumi book arrived in the mail. I had told her the story of my attempts to let go of attachments. I had some books I was considering letting go of. So when a friend showed interested I said “take it, take it.” I thought it was Emerson but turned out to be Rumi. Oops. I could see the friend was entranced by the book yet I secretly hoped it would be left behind. Happily that did not happen and it has been a joy to see this friend appreciate the Rumi book as I never did. Yet even more joy to see Tiina’s thoughtfulness as this new Rumi book landed in my heart.
