This is EXACLT the medicine we all need, exactly. This actually had me sobbing in both grief, for what I/we did not receive and gratitude for what I/ we are now receiving. The greatest gift we can give another is our Presence. I adore this father! This is what we all needed, need. I have had the extraordinary fortune to have so very many hold Presence for me. Thank you Uschi for being one of the first to hold me. This holding Presence so many have offered me has forever altered me, such a miraculous gift, restoring this one to peace and joy. There are no words but that doesn’t mean I will stop trying to use them to express even a drop of my boundless gratitude. This is the exact medicine we all need. I would beseech, yes, that feels like the right word, beseech you to extend that whenever, however, wherever you can.I was able to hold my daughter’s tears but never her anger, rage. If I could change one thing about my parenting, it might be that. All our emotions are messengers that need to be honored and allowed to pass through.
