joy

For many years I have been choosing a word and them for the new year. This year was mastery and HOW, that one turned out to be ideal for this year. So I have been playing with some words for 2017 and decided I am finally ready to own joy, my word for 2017. What better way to support the planet then to live in joy? I adore dolphins and like to choose a symbol and then have a material object to remind me of my word. My symbol this year was a sword as I cut away what no longer served me.
In 1994 I had a powerful mystical experience that was actually filmed (long story.) My mentor was there and others asked her to explain what had happened to me. She said she could not say for sure yet perhaps it had been a baptism of joy. I have danced with joy yet overall have felt that state has eluded me. Until now. I am also aware I have had a limiting definition of joy. From now through 2017 I intend to discover what joy is for me and embody this energy. First peace, then love, now joy. I would love to have any of you join me in this commitment. Bring it on.
